HQ8R -Swan Islands , IOTA NA-035 :
The HQ8R DXpedition logo have been published at Qrz.com .HQ8R Swan Islands 2008 DXpedition is the brainchild of Javier /HR2J , he came up with the original idea of activating the islands and has received the support of Radio Club de Honduras and its members in this adventure .Operators Ray /WQ7R/HR9, Lane/KC4CD/HR2 , Antonio/HR2DX, Daniel/HR2DMR , Ramon/HR7REA , Javier/HR2J , Pedro/HR2PAC and possibly more will activate Swan Island as HQ8R between March 15-23rd 2008 .

OC1I & OC6I -Peruan IOTA DXpedition :
Jorge/OA4BHY , Rene/DL2JRM , Bodo/DL3OCH and Daniel/DL5YWM will be active from Isla Lobos de Tierra which belongs to IOTA SA-076 , ARLHS PER-053, WLOTA-1521.The optained callsign for SA-076 is OC1I . It is planned to be active in CW/SSB from January 2 until January 7 with 2 stations simulaneously from 10m to 160m .Dates can vary depending on the weather and the sea .Before going to SA-076 , we will put Isla Blanca which counts for IOTA SA-098 on the air . This is planned from December 28 for at least 2 days .OC6I will be used for that island . When the island trips are finished , we will be resting in Lima and partly QRV as OA4/homecall until January 12 .The QSL's for OC1I and OC6I only via Jeff/DL5WM . Others via their homecalls .

Supporting Kadek /YB9BU :
I was one of those supported YB9BU/Kadek's story . On April 7, 2007, a devastating fire destroyed Kadek’s house in Bali . In the process , most of his family belongings were lost , including his radio equipment . Kadek’s contributions to IOTA are known by virtually all island chasers as he brought us many unforgettable moments over the years . He was a constant powerful force in carrying our activations of rare and new IOTA's , as well as providing QSL services for even more IOTAs from Indonesia . At this time of distress for him and his family , island chasers and hams all over the world expressed their support and encouragement for their friend .
